Alexandre Touguet is a French Designer, graduated in 2010 from Kedge Design School after obtaining a degree in Industrial Engineering. He began his career alongside some of the most influential designers of our time such as Oraïto, Christophe Pillet or Philippe Starck for more than 10 years. After these experiences, Alexandre created the ALT Design Agency in Nantes, France. He works there on projects in quite a variety of sectors such as furniture, luxury, technology and medical. FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION. The Agency puts function at the heart of its thinking and begins each new project with an in-depth analysis of use and ergonomics, parameters which most of the time constitute the starting point for a formal and stylistic outline. Influenced by designers such as Charles and Ray Eames or Dieter Rams for the rigor and their innovative vision of industrial design, Alexandre is always on the lookout for new processes, materials or technologies likely to give rise to new consumption patterns. Particularly attentive to environmental issues, he sees himself as a major actor in change through the products he designs. The use and choice of the material is a real responsibility and he strives to make the most of it.
