IN & OUT by MUT

The IN & OUT collection, designed by MUT for Harmony, is a creative dialogue between architecture, design and fashion, inspired by the modular and geometric patterns of 20th century modernity. This line of tiles takes as a reference the forceful and repetitive forms of iconic buildings such as Kisho Kurokawa's Nakagin Capsule Tower or the brutalist structures that celebrate the interaction between the full and the empty. In addition, the collection incorporates an unexpected note of fluidity and elegance that refers to the fashion of the sixties, such as Pierre Cardin's designs that combined geometric shapes with freedom of movement. The result of this fusion is a ‘double’ tile that, with an outer frame and an interchangeable interior, allows for infinite compositional possibilities. Each component, carefully designed in a square format, can be used separately or together, providing flexibility to play with space and visual perception. Within this creative play, the wall where the tile will be placed also comes into play, its colour and texture providing an additional layer of contrast and combination, further enriching the final design. IN & OUT by MUT not only offers a functional and aesthetic solution, but also becomes a creative tool for designers and architects, who will be able to customise each surface according to their vision, mixing colours and textures in a unique visual narrative. This collection celebrates the ability of design to transcend its function and become a means of artistic and architectural expression.
